On 17 October 2011, at the Embassy of Republic of Azerbaijan in Republic of Moldova, took place the official ceremony dedicated to 20^th anniversary since the restoration of Republic of Azerbaijan independence.

At this event have participated important persons like Mr. Vald Filat, prime-minister, diplomats, politicians, businessmen and literati.

Vladimir Ceban, Director General of S.E. “Posta Moldovei” said that he is honored to participate at Azerbaijan’ Independence Day celebration and on this occasion has participated at the official launch of First Day Cover and postage stamps dedicated to 20^th anniversary since the restoration of Azerbaijan independence.

Mr. Vladimir Ceban congratulated the Ambassador, mentioning that postal administrations of Republic of Moldova and Azerbaijan efficaciously collaborate to develop postal sector in our countries, being involved in various international projects in the framework of Universal Postal Union and Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications.

Mr. Namik ALIEV, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Republic of Moldova said that in his country are carried out some of the largest energy projects in the world scoring success in terms of economic growth.

The diplomat mentioned that Moldovan-Azeri relations are friendly, being signed over 50 bilateral agreements. Namik ALIEV said that his country is interested in the development of relations with Republic of Moldova, especially the economic field.
