EMS (Express Mail Service) - Express Mail Service is the most rapid service of receipt, processing, transportation and distribution of the national and international postal items, in the most rapid and efficient way.

At the moment there are 143 countries EMS Cooperative member, inclusive S.E. “Posta Moldovei” (from 1999). This cooperation is made on the basis of bilateral and multilateral agreements, signed between the countries which provide EMS Service..

The EMS items are influenced by the contraventions of Republic of Moldova legislation, Universal Postal Union Convention, inward, outward and transit regulations, published by the respective countries in the “List of prohibited articles”, periodically published by the International Bureau of UPU and EMS  Operational Guide.

The service is identified by “EMS Moldova” logotype, composed from the following elements:
- One orange wing;
- “EMS MOLDOVA” in blue letters;
- Three horizontal bands.

EMS items can be deposed in all postal offices of the country.

In EMS items containing papers, it is allowed for dispatching – documents copies, different invoices, accounts, periodical publications, prospects, samples, different announces and notes;
In EMS items containing goods, it is allowed for dispatching – goods, except those stipulated by the “List of prohibited articles”

EMS items are presented in special packs, which can be of paper or resistant tissue, plastic or tissue, carton boxes, plywood or wood.

EMS items packing is effectuated taking into consideration its contents, dimensions, weight and value, in order to ensure the contents’ stability and integrity at the processing, transportation and delivery, same as to exclude damaging of other items and cause of prejudice of postal employees.

Packing can be made by the sender, or by the EMS operator.
In order to dispatch the goods, you can address at all regional central post offices, where Customs representatives are present to conclude all customs formalities.

The documents will be packed in special envelopes, offered by S.E. “Posta Moldovei”.
