MONEY ORDERS

Postal and electronic money orders from post offices of S.E. “Posta Moldovei” can be send in 22 countries, for their payment in post offices of that countries (the list of countries and the forwarding limits are enlisted in the following table).

From the post offices of S.E. „Posta Moldovei” can be forwarded postal money orders through the following systems: „Western Union”, „Contact”, „Blizko”.

Amount limits and other conditions for forwarding abroad of money orders are regulated by “Instructions concerning international postal money orders”, approved by Administrative Council Decision of Moldovan National Bank no. 129 from 6 June 2002, and its amendments. Payment of postal and electronic money orders from moldovan post offices or other countries or through international companies “Money Exchange”, “Western Union”, “Anelik”,”Unistream”, “Contact”, “Migom”, “Leader”, “MoneyGram”, “Blizko” are effectuated in all post offices of S.E. “Posta Moldovei”.

TARIFFS FOR FORWARDING MONEY ORDERS

   For forwarding of money orders on the territory of the republic:
1. Forwarded to the addres of private persons:
      - for one money order in the amount of up to 500 lei, the rate – 3 lei +4% from the money order’s amount
      - for one money order in the amount of more than 500 lei, the rate - 3 lei + 4% from the amount of 500 lei +1% from the amount that exceed 500 lei.

2. Forwarded to enterprises, institutions and organizations or on the citizens’ accounts:
- for one money order in the amount of up to 500 lei, the rate – 5 lei +4% from the money order’s amount
- for one money order in the amount of more than 500 lei, the rate - 5 lei + 4% from the amount of 500 lei +1% from the amount that exceed 500 lei.

For forwarding of money orders abroad:

- for one money order in the amount of up to 1000 lei, the rate – 5% from money orders’ amount

- for one money order in the amount of more than 1000 lei, the rate – 5% from the amount of 1000 lei + 1% fro the amount that exceed 1000 lei.
